My advice to you is that, starting off, the best thing you can do is stick to around 1000 calories a day, lots of protein, not much carbs - wise (unless its veggies and fruit) and good fats; and to try and get at least 30 mins of cardio in a day. Running is amazing. And although it's hard at the beginning, if you persevere, it gets much easier and more enjoyable. I joined BMF (British Military Fitness), which was awesome - no way as scary as you think, the instructors are big softies, who want you to do well, and you make great fiends and have a lot of fun. Oh, and Pilates = amazing! Hehe. Keep in touch if you want a chat or support. I may not post, but I do check the blogs daily.
